Jai Cunningham, news anchor at Island News continues the story of THE 100TH. Says he, “A new documentary, “The 100th, Seeds of Aloha,” is set to debut in the spring, celebrating the legacy of the 100th Infantry Battalion during World War II. The battalion, known as the “1-puka-puka,” was composed of local boys from Hawaii and became a trailblazing military unit. The 100th suffered immense losses in Europe, earning the nickname “The Purple Heart Battalion.” Mahalo nui Jai for your continued coverage. You renew our faith in the continued power and fairness that still exists in the media. Watch the Story at KITV4 »
