Hawaiʻi Public Radio’s The Conversation recently featured The 100TH: Seeds of Aloha, a documentary honoring the Japanese American soldiers from Hawaiʻi who served during World War II.
Hosted by Catherine Cruz, the segment highlights the film’s mission to preserve and share the lasting legacy of the 100th Infantry Battalion and the Nisei soldiers whose courage, sacrifice, and Spirit of Aloha continue to inspire generations.
Director Steve Sue joined The Conversation to discuss the heart behind the project, the proud history of these soldiers, and the upcoming debut of the film. The documentary is set to premiere on Memorial Day, May 25, at the Moanalua High School Performing Arts Center.
