The 100TH, Seeds of Aloha crew was greeted by local Italian press even before landing. Over a three-week journey, we followed the battle campaigns of the 100th/442nd RCT, beginning in southern Italy at Salerno, traveling up the boot to France, then into Germany to cover the 522nd FABʻs campaign (they were detached from the 100th/442nd), then back through Austria to the Apennine Mountains in Italy to cover the breaking of the Gothic Line.

A key shot for the film was a finale event in San Terenzo Monte and Tendola, where the late US Senator Daniel K. Inouye lost his right arm in battle and where the towns dedicated their town square, “Daniel Inouye Piazza.” It was a heartfelt moment of gratitude, hope and global unification.

The Production Crew extends mahalo and love to all of our new 100TH Global ʻOhana. Everywhere we went for three weeks in Europe was full of love and connection. We captured everything we set out to get yet received so much more. The only thing Steve didnʻt get was a meatball… apparently meatballs and spaghetti are an American thing.
