Soliderʻs Dream Dinners
EVENT CONCEPT
Soldierʻs Dream is a fundraising dinner series that supports the production of THE 100TH, Seeds of Aloha. Produced by ID8, a Hawaiʻi 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, THE 100TH is a feature-length documentary and the second film in a Trilogy of Aloha Spirit films that includes the award-winning, SHAKA, A Story of Aloha (due out on streaming platforms in November). Fundraising events for THE 100TH have the option to be in-restaurant or catered events and the further option to include a screening of SHAKA, A Story of Aloha.
FOOD CONCEPT
Imagine WWII Nisei soldiers stumble upon a trove of fine French/Italian/German wines – What dream food pairings would they imagine? Chefʻs choices to express pairings with wines in global fusions of Hawaiʻi Regional and European preparations and wines.
DETAILS
- Dinner Fee & Donation: You may charge patrons any price point for your dinner event and contribute at least $20 per attendee to ID8 nonprofit for THE 100TH production.
- Promotions & Booking: You will promote the event and take bookings. We will promote by blasting our 5,000 person mailing list and listing via our events calendar.
- Shaka Spirits: Include an aperitif or cocktail featuring this Plantation Rum (25% awamori + 75% silver rum).See ShakaSpirits.com/recipes for signature cocktails or create your own.
- Shaka Film Option: Screening of SHAKA, A Story of Aloha. You will need to provide a reasonable screening environment, large monitor or projection/screen.
- THE 100TH Pitch: We will provide a spokesperson, most likely producer/director Steve Sue, to introduce the concept and ask patrons to donate to the production.
- Donation Cards & Lapel Pins: We will provide donation cards with QR code to uptake donations. One THE 100TH Lapel will be gifted from the production to each patron.
