As a test screening\, comments are welcome to help make the film as good as it can be. \nCelebrate 250 years of independence by being among the first to see the new film about the 100th/442nd RCT ~ the WWII “Purple Heart Battalion” from Hawaiʻi ~ one of the most decorated units in US military history that used the concept of Aloha while liberating Italy\, France and Germany and for 80 years after the war in the rebuilding of a free world. The film features Arcadia resident Col. Walter Ozawa and the story of former Arcadia resident Lt. Col. Farrant Turner\, the first commander of the 100th Inf. Bn.

As a test screening\, comments are welcome to help make the film as good as it can be. \nCelebrate 250 years of independence by being among the first to see the new film about the 100th/442nd RCT ~ the WWII “Purple Heart Battalion” from Hawaiʻi ~ one of the most decorated units in US military history that used the concept of Aloha while liberating Italy\, France and Germany and for 80 years after the war in the rebuilding of a free world. \nMaunalani Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that has served Hawaii’s seniors\, or Kupuna\, since January 1950. It is also a VA-preferred skilled nursing care provider for United States Veterans residing in Hawaii. Maunalani has a strong tradition of honoring veterans. During Veterans Day 2025\, thirty-two veterans were honored at Maunalani\, including three World War II Nisei veterans. In March 2026\, twenty-four veterans were honored in recognition of National Vietnam Veterans Day.

DESCRIPTION:THE 100TH\, Seeds of Aloha will host an exclusive Sponsors Screening on Memorial Day\, May 25\, 2026\, at the Moanalua Performing Arts Center in Honolulu. This is a private sponsor event and the film’s first screening\, created as a special feedback screening for project supporters\, cast\, crew\, and invited press/social media. Full event details are available on the Memorial Day Screening page. \nThe evening is designed as a premiere-style red carpet experience\, with red carpet arrival and photo opportunities from 5:00–6:00 PM\, live musical performances and filming for the companion short Backseat Writer from 6:00–6:30 PM\, the film screening from 6:30–8:30 PM\, and post-screening red carpet exit interviews from 8:30–9:00 PM. The venue offers ample parking and is fully ADA compliant. \nThis is not a public screening. Access is available through sponsorship or contribution-based seating\, with one seat available per $150 contributed and additional seats available for larger sponsor groups.
